Yesterday was another long one but rewarding as hell. Joe Matz, John Breitenbach, Mark Lindley & Jason Capra installed all of the left main landing gear components and hardware to the left wheel well and serviced all parts and grease fittings. We now only have to service the struts and reinstall the main left wheel and attach the flexible brake lines. Once the right side is also complete we will do a thorough bleeding of the brakes to ensure no air is in the brake lines. Jim Aaron & Jerry E. Sass were busy as hell yesterday as well riveting the mounting brackets in place for the troop seats. I cannot stress the level of beauty and detail that Jim put into these seats. They are exactly spitting image replicas of what the originals looked like on a C-53.
